As a division of Vp plc, a group of 6 specialist hire businesses, MEP Hire, hire mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment alongside the low level access machines.
As the Transport Supervisor, you will lead the transport team taking responsibility of all movement of goods in and out of the branch and ensuring customer requirements are met.
You will ensure the department achieves all agreed delivery & collection schedules on time with minimal complaints or issues. We are a busy branch with a high volume of movements in and out that require organisation, planning and level headed leadership to ensure targets are met.
Other responsibilities include ensuring the vehicles are kept roadworthy and legal and meet our obligations for the operator’s licence at all times, ensure Lytx procedures are being adhered to and also the effective and efficient vehicle routing with completed “on time” deliveries
You will also take responsibility for the health and safety within the transport team and wider branch, you must make certain that the business is compliant with HSE legislation and offers a safe working environment
