    As a division of Vp plc, a group of 6 specialist hire businesses, MEP Hire, hire mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment alongside the low level access machines.

    We now have an opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to join us to increase the hire revenue and numbers of machines on hire, at a profitable level.

    Within the role you will be required to retain, develop, and increase the penetration and relationship with the targeted account agreed and to increase customer awareness of the benefit of using MEP/Hire Station and other Vp Group businesses.

    The role requires a tenacious Account Manager with the ability to not only meet but exceed their revenue targets through the development of existing key accounts and national account customers. Although predominantly an account management role, you will be required to develop new business by delivering proposals and presentations to win ‘local’ preferred supplier status with targeted customers.

    Candidates for this role must have proven sales experience, ideally within a multi-site small tools business although this is not essential. You should have the ability to build long lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with prospective customers and have a confident and persuasive nature when presenting. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to develop their knowledge of the organisation, its people and its services and who also seeks to improve their own skills throughout their career. A degree of IT literacy is required along with the ability to manage your time effectively by setting clear objectives.
