  • THE ROLE
    To operate/carry out all relevant duties in excavator driving and operations on behalf of BCS

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    All Business carried out on behalf of the company is done in a safe and professional manner
    Start times to be adhered to from instruction of team leader or site Management
    Cooperate with all site management in the loading and unloading process
    Working as a team carrying out other duties if there is no work for the Excavator

    KEY MEASURES AND TARGETS
    The operator must understand its functions and limitations as well as its particular operating characteristics.
    Having a thorough knowledge of the information contained in the excavators operating manual.
    Inspecting and maintaining the Excavator regularly as prescribed by both the owner and manufacturer.
    Informing the owner of any problems, needed maintenance, or necessary repairs to the machine.
    This should be done in writing, preferably in the machine's logbook or inspection report.
    Check that the site is adequately prepared for the excavator.
    Review the planned operation and requirements with the site supervision.
    Work to all risk assessments and lift plans.
    Exercising the right to refuse to operate the excavator if there is cause to suspect the operation might be unsafe.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION

    Essential
    CPCS Qualification for excavator operation to.

    • A59a - Tracked 360 Excavator Above 10 Tonnes.
    • A59b - Wheeled 360 Excavator Above 10 Tonnes,

    CPCS card holder
    Organisational skills; ability to organise and prioritise workload and document / maintain a variety of records. Communications skills - interpersonal, verbal, written and telephone.
    Flexibility to adapt to a fast paced and changing environment. High energy, approachable, friendly and organised, keen to meet deadlines.
    Always have company/customers interests at heart.

    Desirable
    CPCS qualification for

    • 3t, 6t and 9t Dumper license
    • Tele handler license
