About the role:

The role of the Materials Planner will be to plan and expedite product in accordance with the build demands, scheduling parts from a complex supply chain.

A real sense of urgency, excellent problem solving skills and the ability to communicate cross-functionally are pre-requisites for this highly visible role.

This role is based at our Compact Products site in Cheadle, Staffordshire.

Responsibilities:

• Continuity of supply of parts to assembly and manufacturing operations
• Material requirements planning and expedite from an international supply base in line with system requirements
• Lean inventory management
• Pro-active review and continuous improvement of suppliers / logistics / transportation / packaging
• Maintenance of performance in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
• Problem solving / process improvement initiatives

About you:

• Demonstrable materials planning experience
• Working knowledge of SAP/Production planning systems is essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly PC literate
• Well organised
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Driven to achieve results
