    Overview of the role:

    As the future of our industry becomes increasingly digitised, the importance of a strong online presence to communicate the value of Genuine JCB Aftermarket Parts, Attachments and Services both through our global dealer network and direct to our customers only grows.

     

    JCB are looking for an ambitious and proven individual to join the team to develop and enhance our current E-Commerce strategies and solutions. Working as part of our Aftermarket business, you will be responsible for driving both improvements in customer experience and growth in aftermarket revenue through the sale of parts, attachments, and services online.

    Developing this critical sales and distribution channel for JCB is key to the ongoing success and growth of the business, and you will be afforded the highest level of exposure in the business to demonstrate your ability to deliver results through targeted actions against a strategy you have developed.

     

    Your Responsibilities as a Business Development Manager:

    As well as contributing to the overall growth and direction of the business, your main responsibilities will be:

    • Designing and developing the E-Commerce Strategy and setting the delivery roadmap against this.
    • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the Global Dealer Network to leverage their capability in delivery a fantastic online sales experience for customers.
    • Identifying largest opportunities for aftermarket growth and utilise existing and new E-Commerce strategies to realise these, reporting performance against targets.
    • Managing agencies to continually evolve the e-commerce plan, being seen as the leader in the field.
    • Drive UX improvements and regularly report insight, performance and opportunities to the wider business.
    • Create and implement quality marketing campaigns, owning SEO, PPC, Display, e-mail and Social Media activities.
    • Work with wider marketing to ensure a joined up omni-channel approach.
    • Responsible for providing internal stakeholders with weekly and monthly sales and marketing reports. Highlighting performance and analytical insight.
    • Develop and build out the SEO strategy with the business. Optimisation of website keywords, understanding of technical SEO including meta tags, robot files and search rankings using SEO software.
    • Look to identify SEO KPI’s and targeted keywords to improve organic traffic.
    • Email Marketing based on key customer information and wider promotional campaigns.

    Taking ownership of an area of our growth strategy which is key to the future success of our business demands a highly focussed individual with strong leadership skills who can embody the restless drive to always make our business better. Experience managing / leading digital retail / e-commerce; a natural entrepreneur; fixated on delivering exceeding customer expectations and growing the business.

    As well as fulfilling our shared values, you will:

    • Have an understanding of Dealer Sales Models and established methods for marketing and selling online.
    • Have a proven track record as a commercial individual, who understands the importance of both the brand and the customer; always putting their needs first.
    • Knowledge of SEO and techniques to drive a SEO strategy in a business.
    • You are independent and self-directed but able to work and lead a team.
    • Experience developing an online sales strategy and the platform required to deliver results.
    • Have strong analytical skills to track and manage performance of the strategy and the dealer network.
    • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to persuasively sell ideas.
    • Working knowledge of the Magento and Shopify platforms.
