    Overview of the role:

    Telematics is at the forefront of the technological revolution currently sweeping our industry and making us smarter and more productive than ever before. JCB have developed a class leading telematics offering called LiveLink which is now fitted to over 375,000 machines globally. JCB are looking for someone to take a leading role in growing this exciting area of our business by identifying new and developing existing business.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to take charge of empowering our dealers and customers to increase uptime, reduce admin, and make better decisions by using the data from their equipment.

    As the LiveLink Business Development Manager, your primary focus will be to act as a voice of the customer and drive adoption of digital technologies within customer and dealer organisations. You will build excellent relationships with our dealers and some of the largest JCB customers in the world directly and act as their ambassador within JCB.

    Your Responsibilities as a Business Development Manager:

    • Responsible for identifying customer needs and trends to enable strategy development & implementation to achieve adoption & revenue targets.
    • Development of training programmes to build increased capability in sales and distribution channels.
    • Develop excellent working relationships with some of JCBs largest customers globally
    • Work closely with the JCB Sales Organisation in product strategy with regards to telematics & digitalisation.
    • Act as the voice of the customer to the LiveLink development teams in shaping the platform in the future.
    • Support the JCB Global Dealer Network to identify key product value propositions and use this to maximise customer LiveLink use, renewal rates, aftermarket revenue, and customer experience.
    • Establish key performance metrics for the success of the LiveLink platform.

    About you:

    Taking ownership of a product key to the future success of our business demands a highly focussed individual with strong leadership skills who can embody the restless drive to make our business something to be proud of.

    You will need a good understanding of telematics, machine guidance, fleet management, and/or IoT (Internet of Things) technologies and their applications in agriculture, construction and industrial settings.

    You will have experience in developing and leading sales & marketing strategies via a dealer distribution network and enjoy communicating with customers and dealers alike.

    Cooperating with other departments across our business you will be an excellent communicator able to make technical information understandable while promoting telematics as a defining factor in the future of our business. You will also need to be a good listener, able to understand the needs and concerns of our customers and make them a central concern in future product development.
