  • We are looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join JCB's Golf & Country Club

    Overview of the role:

    As JCB Golf & Country Club's  Operations Manager  you will be responsible for ensuring that all day to day operations throughout the property run smoothly and fall in line with the JCB Golf & Country Clubs Vision.

    Effectively managing all direct reports. Maintain consistency in standards. Being product & customer focussed with a clear focus on training and development of our people.

    Management of an effective cost programme to ensure budgeted sales & profit targets are met (Food & Beverage GP%, average spend per head).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor the delivery of company standards and SOP’s (Implement new SOP’s where required), ensuring action is taken when gaps are found. Reviewing feedback along with the senior team and resolve any issues which may arise to a satisfactory conclusion.
    • Promote a culture of exceptional service delivery, co-operation & commitment. A ‘Never Say No’ culture. Evolve & monitor a ‘problem solving’ culture through the empowerment of team members.
    • Assist the General Manager & Directors in the implementation & development of the business vision. Help to translate this into departmental objectives through the Heads of Departments.
    • Attend internal & external meetings focussing on S&P, Operational overviews & planning. Proactively develop member, guests & business relationships.
    • Effective management of Head of Departments to ensure that the labour resources effectively meet the service criteria set for all departments, including supervision, departmental training, cross training.
    • Implementation of systems.
    • Management of operating costs through Heads of Department to ensure delivery of budgeted costs. For example, payroll, liquor & food GP %. Reviewing time sheets & rotas.
    • Promote a ‘Sales Through Service’ culture. Ensuring all sales opportunities are maximised wherever possible. Implementation of a Incentive Programme, supporting all upsell opportunities. Increasing revenue and profit margins.
    • Promote team member training and internal development.
    • Highlighting my own development needs where required.
    • Undertake job chats & appraisals with all direct reports.
    • Preparation of a duty management rota, undertake duty management shifts and maintain a visible presence during peak times (Events, check in / out, Restaurant services, etc).
    • Effective management of supplier contracts
