  • We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our friendly team. If you’re you an experienced administrator looking for a new challenge this could be the perfect role for you. We are experiencing a period of exciting company growth, and have just introduced a world class HR and Payroll system. Come and join the UK’s largest plant hire business where you will play a key role in supporting the HR function with the day to day administration of our workforce. It’s not essential you have HR experience but a proven history in an administrative role is essential.  

    Joining an established and busy team, this is a fantastic opportunity, offering exposure to a busy HR function with great opportunities for development for the right candidate. This role  offers flexibility of hybrid working arrangements  - with a mix of remote and office working (Birchwood Park, Warrington).

    The key areas of the role include but are not limited to:

    • First point of contact for Human Resources function responding to colleague queries via email and telephone as well as in person
    • Processing incoming and outgoing post for the department
    • All HR related administration including the processing of transfers, leavers, salary increases etc including confirmation in writing
    • Processing offers of employment and supporting hiring managers with the onboarding of new starters
    • Ensuring pre employment checks are carried out in line with Company process and legal obligations including eligibility to work in the UK, DBS checks and pre employment medicals
    • Liaising with line managers and Occupational Health provider to schedule safety critical assessments and vaccinations
    • Raising purchase orders and managing queries through the PO system
    • Processing employment references for current and previous colleagues
    • HR systems support for all colleagues
    • Updating and management of personnel files in line with data retention guidelines and GDPR requirements
    • Processing of uniform orders for HR team
    • Dispensing visionary vouchers for colleagues upon request
    • HR Administrative support for HR Advisor and HR Business Partner within assigned area of responsibility
