    Overview of the role:

    Join us and you’ll oversee daily production builds and ensure that customer delivery requirements are met. Coordinating Team Leader activities, you’ll ensure that our delivery is met. You’ll also make sure we implement a system of continued operational excellence, driving area, process and quality improvements. Being mindful of Health and Safety issues and working to KPIs will be vital. You’ll create standardised work requirements and monitors, including assembly down time, driving Kaizen improvements.

    This demanding role requires a high level of self-motivation, problem solving skills and the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team. The successful applicant will support production operations so must possess the ability to react to challenging situations and have a willingness to drive change. Candidates should have an Assembly background.

    About your role:

    • To ensure compliance to all relevant Health and Safety & Environmental legislation, demonstrating a desire to improve.
    • To achieve Quality, Cost and Growth targets, driving waste reduction opportunities.
    • To ensure the specific area of control is led effectively and efficiently.
    • Continuous improvement through the deployment of the JCB Production System (Kaizen activities, 5’s, SOP adherence etc).
    • To develop a work group structure to support the roll out of lean initiatives, ensuring good team involvement & engagement.
    • People Management / Leadership, including attendance control and performance management.
    • To develop the team, through involvement, including their skills and flexibility.
    • To control local budgets including key KPI such as direct labour cost per unit and Variable cost per machine.
    • Implementation of Quality standards and the closure of corrective actions using structured problem solving techniques.
    • Co-ordination and development of Team Leader activities.
    • Ensuring daily production build requirements are achieved.
    • Conducting Area Patrols of the Production area / delivering process improvements.
