  Overview of the role:

  We are currently looking to recruit a Materials Planner to work within our fast-paced Attachments operations function. You will take responsible for the management of multiple suppliers to ensuring the delivery of components in line with production requirements. This position involves the management of supplier performance and relationships to ensure JCB Attachments are given the appropriate priority and customer service.

  Reporting to the Senior Materials Planner you will be part of a highly motivated and supportive team tasked with ensuring we maintain a stable supply chain.

  Your Responsibilities as a Material Planner:

  • Day-to-day management of supplier schedules within a portfolio of suppliers.
  • Ensuring continuity of materials supply.
  • Daily liaison with suppliers.
  • Reviewing schedule exceptions.
  • Inventory control and management.
  • Analysing stock discrepancies to determine root causes and liaising with other departments e.g engineering, production.
  • Pro-active review and continuous improvement of suppliers / logistics / transportation / packaging.
  • KPI Management.
  • Analysing material shortages and root causes.
  • Communicating with third party logistics partner to deliver continuity within supply chain.
  • Introduction of new parts management.
  • Supplier Improvement/Resourcing projects.
