Overview of the role of Kitchen Porter:

We are looking for a highly motivated & organised person, preferably with Kitchen Porter experience within kitchens in Hotels or Restaurants.

Reporting to the Head Chef, the role will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day cleaning duties of the club house kitchen.

Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene.

Performing duties required to keep the kitchen within the legal requirements for all HACCP, HSE and COSHH procedures.

Your Responsibilities as Kitchen Porter include;

• Day to day running of all aspects of kitchen cleaning– The role will include maintaining the required standard of cleanliness in all aspects of the kitchen on a day to day basis. Making sure this level of expectation is maintained at all times.
• The cleaning of Ware items and Cutlery - Maintaining the correct storage of all such items
• The cleaning of all kitchen pots, pans, utensils and plastics
• Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules - adhering to all the cleaning schedules as set out in the companies HACCP program. Paying strict attention to all the relevant HSE and COSHH controls
• Assisting the chefs with any duties that are suitable in food preparation

About you:

You will have previous experience of working in kitchens as a Kitchen Porter with a proven track record for maintaining standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

You will be a highly motivated individual capable of working under your own direction and as part of a wider team. 

The ideal candidate will possess strong inter-personal skills to enable them to maintain the JCB brand of excellence in all their dealings.
