    An exciting brand new role to the business has become available within our IT Operations Team- Information Security Manager. The Information Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing and controlling all aspects of information security in Speedy. The role entails identifying risks, planning and carrying out security improvements and other measures that will protect the business’s data and information from deliberate attack, unauthorised access, corruption and theft.

    The role will report to the Head of Service Delivery & Infrastructure and be part of the Senior Management team within both IT and the wider Speedy business. There are no direct reports at this time but there may be scope to increase this team in the future to respond to emerging information security threats and technologies.

    What you’ll need:

    • Educated to degree level or substantial work experience at a level demonstrating graduate ability.
    • Experience of working in a similar Information Security role for a FTSE250 or similarly sized organisation to Speedy.
    • Understanding of, and practical experience of applying the Data Protection Act, the General Data Protection Regulations, the Freedom of Information Act, the Computer Misuse Act and other related legislation, standards and codes of practice.
    • A good working knowledge of information security including ISO27001 Information Security Management Standard.
    • Technical “hands on” experience of installing, configuring and maintaining information security management solutions.
    • Ability to lead and deliver change and contribute to culture change successfully.
    • Ability to influence at senior levels on matters relating to security and information risk.
    • Good working knowledge of information risk analysis and management.
    • Experience in managing projects through to completion.
    • Experience in managing 3rd Party suppliers.
    • Experience in managing budgets.
