  • We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic Account Manager to join our Travis Perkins Managed Services team covering the Midlands. Our Managed Services team provides contract solutions for local authorities and the housing community, offering a bespoke service to suit the needs of the customer.

    This is a remote / home working role but with the requirement to visit customers and clients in the Midlands region but with flexibility to travel to other locations when required..

    What you’ll do
    Responsible for a number of contracts, we are looking for a driven and approachable Account Manager to take ownership of the ongoing strategic customer management of the assigned accounts. The focus includes development of strong client relationships across the breadth and depth of an organisation at a senior level, as well as delivering cost effective value added services. Wherever you are based within the Midlands, as long as you are willing to travel we can be flexible in terms of base location. 
     
    - Ensure that ‘high level’ initiatives such as IT integration, mobile working, van stock management, community investment, training and apprenticeships, CSR have a deliverable plan in place. 
    - Ensure that the company meets all of its contractual obligations during the lifetime of the project. 
    - Responsible for the full operational delivery of the contract and will work closely with Customer Operations Manager’s and a Business Support Manager to support this.
    - Identify and deliver further sales opportunities with the client in particular sub contractor, planned, void, new build works. This includes the delivery of sales opportunities for other Group brands , Tool Hire, Benchmarx etc.
    - Coordinate with and support the store / branch network at Travis Perkins Managed Services customer supply locations
    - Work closely with the operational team to deliver best in class customer service
    - Negotiate new contract awards and ensure that corporate governance is adhered to
    - Full P&L responsibility for your accounts
     
    Is this you?
    We will need you to have extensive account management experience along with a strong sales background. Industry experience isn’t essential, the key to success in this role will be through your communication, customer focus, negotiation and people skills. Experience with public sector clients would be beneficial.
