As a Driver/Branch Assistant, you will be accountable for the delivery, demonstration and collection of equipment to and from customers, suppliers and other Vp businesses professionally, safely and on time.
The role requires an effective communicator who can work both independently and as part of a team, and who can alert the line manager to new sites and potential new customers. You will carry out vehicle checks every morning prior to your collections/deliveries which involves checking water and oil levels, and making sure the tyres have the legal tread depth. Ensure that the vehicle is always loaded safely and in line with company procedures, and make sure the company vehicles are driven safely and in accordance with UK law at all times.
This is a very diverse role where candidates for this position must have local knowledge of the area and are flexible in their working hours. We are looking for someone who is IT literate with a full UK driving licence. Knowledge of the hire industry is desirable but not essential. Due to the nature of the technology we use, experience using tablets and other electronic devices is desirable.
