  • As a Test & Measurement Workshop Technician, you will be required to maintain, service, PAT test and calibrate the company’s assets as required to a standard that complies with / exceeds all current legislation.

    We service, and calibrate a wide range of equipment including:

    • Electrical (DC & LF, LV & HV)
    • Pressure (up to 1000 Bar)
    • Temperature (Simulated and Physical)
    • Environmental test equipment

    Ensuring the standards set by the company are met on all occasions. Your role will be to carry out service and calibrations of these items. You will be responsible for keeping stock time in the workshop to a minimum by function checking, PAT testing, maintaining, and calibrating equipment to meet the manufacturer’s standards enabling it to be available for immediate hire.

    We also calibrate a similar range of customers own equipment. The position available will require you to calibrate or service out of date equipment transferred to our workshop from one of our network of hire depots across the UK as well as servicing and calibrating customers own equipment sent in to us for a prompt turnaround.

    You will be required to maintain good housekeeping and workshop cleanliness, communication with colleagues and reporting of faults and issues as well as ad-Hoc duties that may arise

    Skills & experience required:

    • A relevant Engineering qualification would be preferred but is not essential.
    • Calibration experience of Electrical (DC & LF, LV & HV), Pressure (up to 1000 Bar), Temperature (Simulated and Physical), and Environmental test equipment is preferred but not essential. Product training can be provided.
    • Ability to demonstrate a knowledge of Calibration and testing of electrical (DC & LF, LV & HV) Pressure (up to 1000 Bar), temperature (Simulated and Physical) and environmental test equipment
    • Good communication skills both with colleagues and customers internally and externally.
    • Willing to attend manufacturers training courses around the UK when requested.
    • Be able to manage workloads and prioritise effectively
    • Competent IT skills, the department operates a fully automated system for which full training will be provided.
