    Role Overview:

    Your role as a Senior Learning and Development Advisor will be to drive the learning and development strategy for JCB focusing on developing skills, knowledge and expertise of our employees. The role includes the execution of initiatives, programmes and people processes that are aligned to our ambitious growth plans.

    Scope of the Role:

    The role involves partnering with stakeholders at all levels of the business and in different business areas to identify the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for individuals to be successful in their roles. In addition you will work with the HR Manager – Talent to manage the outputs of talent reviews to determine talent development requirements, deliver talent plans and support succession plans across the company.

    Key Accountabilities:

    In collaboration with HR Manager – Talent and HR Operations Team you will engage with business leaders to determine the learning and development requirements to deliver the ambitions of the business by designing, develop and deliver learning and development interventions that will increase the capability of people so that they are able to deliver in role.

    • Write the learning and development strategy for JCB
    • Research, design and deliver learning activities in line with needs and requirements
    • Enable a blended approach to learning through the development on digital content
    • Drive the implementation of a learning management system to engage learners and track compliance
    • Evaluate the outcomes and impact of learning activities
    • Create and manage a Skills Matrix to identify the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviour required for core roles
    • Lead the ongoing development and roll out of the Leadership and Management development programmes, ensuring that all leaders and Managers within the business have the skills and behaviours they need to deliver bottom line success and role model behaviour.
    • Deliver and develop of JCB’s On Boarding program in order to ensure that individuals are engaged with the business early and deliver in role quickly.
    • Coach and develop individuals and teams to build confidence and deliver improved performance.
    • Collaborate and work closely with the HR Operations team and cross functionally to identify learning needs and influence others
    • Manage the learning and development budget to ensure that value for money is secured and budget is spent effectively

    About You:

    You will ideally come from a HR background with a specialism in Learning & Development bringing with you a “big picture” approach without neglecting the need for timely delivery. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to in building relationships both internally and externally and demonstrate resilience when faced with challenges to find an effective resolution.
