    Overview of the role:

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 3rd Line Service Desk Technician to join the End User Compute (EUC) team within the Group IT department, based at the JCB World Headquarters.

    The Team is responsible for the identification, deployment and adoption of new collaboration and modern workplace products into the JCB environment. The EUC team members also provide a critical role to the Service function by providing an escalation path for complicated technical issues in addition to the development and implementation of process efficiency improvements and task automation

    Your Responsibilities as a 3rd Line Support Technician (EUC):

    The successful applicant will be responsible for the ongoing support and development of the current suite of global client management systems (SCCM, Intune, M365, WSUS) and Active Directory. This will require scripting of application deployments, feature updates/patching, creation of build images and configuration of client compliance and security policies. The role will also be required to manage implementation projects, create detailed design documentation and operating procedures in addition to providing handover training to global support teams and end users.

    Other responsibilities of the role include:

    • Evaluating, testing and deploying new hardware technologies and applications.
    • Acting as the technical lead on IT Project implementations.
    • Supporting 1st and 2nd line teams to achieve set SLA’s.
    • Working well within a busy team, but also use own initiative where required.
    • Travelling to other UK sites to provide technical support where required.
    • Supporting the Group Workplace Systems (EUC) Manager in achieving set team objectives.

    About you:

    You will have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience of working in a senior IT support role and 3+ years’ experience in managing SCCM, Intune, M365, WSUS and Active Directory environments. Prior experience in configuring/managing large scale application, client and update/patching deployments is also a requirement.

    Previous experience in providing support on a wide range of technologies including Windows, Mac, Hardware, Networking and Microsoft applications with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

    You must also have a valid UK driving license and own transport.
