    As our technical Support Manager you will be providing a national technical quality focus ensuring equipment is available for hire, service to a high standard and ready for customer requirements. Working with our engineering teams you will as a technical support both in the depots and the field you will ensure service delivery standards are met and that we are delivering a class leading customer experience every time.

    Our equipment requires testing and inspecting before re hire, in this role you will offer guidance to our depots and field teams on downtime issues and also equipment upgrades. Working with our suppliers you will also be ensuring our equipment meets with manufacturer specifications and build good working relationships with those suppliers.

    We are looking for an experienced Support Manager who has hands on technical knowledge and experience of our equipment which includes JCB and Manitou/Merlo Rotational.

    You will be confident in working with customers directly and understand the value of delivering excellent customer service. As our depots are located UK wide you will be happy to travel to the locations and be flexible and able to adjust plans at short notice.

    Skills & knowledge we are looking for :


    • Apprentice trained, preferably OEM
    • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in mechanical and / or electrical engineering
    • IOSH qualification preferable
    • Proven hands on heavy plant maintenance and repairs experience
    • Proven JCB and Manitou/Merlo Rotational technical & diagnostic level experience
    • Prepared to travel nationally and be away from home overnight
    • Working knowledge of LOLER and PUWER regulations
    • Worked in a customer focused environment
    • Outgoing personality, flexible in approach, team player, influencer
    • Proven customer contact experience
    • Supplier management experience
    • Experience of health and safety compliance
    • Effective communicator, able to train on and off the job
    • Essential high standard IT skills (excel, word, powerpoint, teams and outlook e-mail)
    • Proven analytical skills, able to review job data and convert to learning points

    • Full driving licence essential & preferably to be located in the Midlands region
