What is an Quality Technician Apprenticeship like?
You will have the opportunity to support the component manufacturing and assembly lines in problem investigating and resolution. As well as working with external suppliers to improve overall quality performance, you will have the chance to attend daily production meetings to ensure any issues are contained, investigated and resolved ensuring opportunities for improvement are identified. This position is key in continually improving productivity by gaining an understanding of how to use cutting edge scanning equipment to identify flaws in supplier parts.
The role will develop your problem solving, negotiating and people skills to an incredibly high standard, you will become an expert in investigating and resolving quality issues around the organisation. As well as learning to be proficient in all of the elements listed above, you will be exposed to a network of highly skilled people that will help you grow and develop as a Quality Technician, which will set you up for a highly successful career.
What will I get out of an Quality Technician Apprenticeship?
Our Quality Technician Apprenticeship has been designed for candidates who are passionate about continuously improving processes using cutting edge technology to identify flaws in parts provided by external suppliers.
As an Apprentice working at one of JCB’s UK Business Units you will develop the knowledge and hands on skills to problem investigate and resolve quality issues that may arise amongst the production line when making JCB machinery.
The scheme takes approximately 3 years to complete which includes 20% off the job training where you will work towards your Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship and gain real-life insight into the world of Quality.

How do I qualify for a JCB Apprenticeship?
You will bring dedication, passion and a real desire to succeed. Possessing strong problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a high performing team, you will also be confident working autonomously and will be driven to get results.
