    What is an Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship like?

    Our Engineering Degree Apprenticeship’s have been designed for candidates who are passionate about studying Manufacturing Engineering at Level 4 whilst gaining valuable on the job experience.

    As an Apprentice working at one of JCB’s UK Business Units you will develop the knowledge and hands on skills to research new technologies, design & develop our machinery and become a skilled JCB Engineer working within Manufacturing Engineering.

    The scheme takes between 2.5-3 years to complete which includes 20% off the job training where you will work towards your degree and gain real-life insight into the world of Manufacturing Engineering.

    What will I get out of an Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship?

    Completing the programme will earn you a Higher National Certificate in Engineering —but, not only that, you’re also guaranteed a role with a global innovator that the world is always watching. You don’t get that when you take the conventional university route.

    How do I qualify for a JCB Apprenticeship?

    A level in Maths, Science, Technology or Engineering


    Completed an Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship


    Advanced Diploma in Engineering or Manufacturing

    In addition to the above you will also need to have the following:

    You’ll need at least four GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths, English and a relevant scientific/technical subject at C/4 or above. Just as importantly, you should be looking for a career that will really allow you to make your mark in a field you’re committed to.
