  • A great opportunity within Quality at JCB Cab Systems reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for management of first off samples for supplier and internally produced parts for conformance
    • Supporting the component manufacturing and assembly lines in part discrepancies away from agreed standards (drawings, group standards)
    • Feedback of away from drawing reports in a professional and proactive manner
    • Supporting supplier clinics to improve overall quality performance.
    • Visiting suppliers to conduct audits of processes, plants and quality improvements.
    • Attending daily production meetings and ensuring any issues are contained, investigated and resolved.
    • Supporting PCM meetings and NPI meetings to ensure quality is represented and opportunities for improvement are identified.
    • Leading teams in improvement activities.
    • Be an ambassador for quality and lead by example.
    • Adherence to the JCB Quality Operating System and JCB Production Systems
    • Experienced with problem solving tools e.g. 8D/PPS 5 Why and Fishbone analysis
    • Proficient in Microsoft office tools, Word, Excel and PowerPoint  
    • Competency of dimensional management techniques including contact and non-contact measurement techniques (FARO arm etc.)

    About you:

    The successful Quality Engineer will have well-developed communication & listening skills at all levels within their current organisation. Additionally suitable candidates must have the ability to analyse data, generate improvement plans and be able to read and understand engineering drawings. Previous experience as a Quality Engineer is preferred with proven experience of successfully reacting to abnormal situations and support change. CQI / HNC qualification (or equivalent), internal auditor ISO 9001:2015 is preferable.

    Experience of working with welded assemblies and general assemblies with the ability to problem solve, identify root cause and to communicate findings to all key stakeholders is a must for this role, having an impeccable personal organisation is a personal trait that will be looked for
