  • With more than 60 years’ experience in the plant and equipment hire industry, Vp plc is renowned and respected for its technical excellence, service innovation and customer focus. We have seen a radical re-engineering of group activities with a move from a broadly based plant hire enterprise to specialist equipment outsourcing businesses, which has proved very successful.

    We are currently looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to maintain existing, and to identify new business opportunities within the Balfour Beatty Operating Companies. Able to ascertain the full potential of each project & to have a full understanding of the projects from conception, through to planning and delivery. Gaining a full grasp of the project timeline to understand areas of support from Vp Group Divisions (Brandon Hire Station, ESS Safeforce, Groundforce, TPA & UK Forks), with the objective of maintaining and increasing revenue generation.

    To build effective & long lasting relationships with all the key project management teams, ensuring that they are fully conversant with the products and services we offer and that they fully understand the terms of our contract with Balfour Beatty with the intent of reducing leakage and maximizing revenue.

    You will work to agreed customer service levels and performance standards, whilst achieving budgeted revenue targets.

    We are looking for an effective communicator, somebody who has worked in both account management and new business generation previously. You will preferably have gained experience within the construction industry and be familiar within one of Vp Plc Specialist Markets, as well as being able to demonstrate a sound knowledge for safety regulations. Educated to a good level, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate and influence others. You will also be able to demonstrate building and maintaining effective and professional relationships with both internal and external customers.

    The ideal living location would be Northamptonshire/East Midlands/Kent or East Anglia, but this role will be covering the South East region.
