Based in our Erith MSC as an Apprentice Power Engineer, you will be an important part of depot operations and a key player in keeping the workshop productive meaning equipment is always available for our customers to ensure their experience with us is positive and we continue to be the best hire company in the industry.
As an Apprentice Power Engineer at Speedy, you will take part in our structured four year training programme. During this time you will be trained by our knowledgeable and experienced colleagues along with working with our specialist external provider.
Year 1/2: Completion of Level 2 Land Based Service Engineer apprenticeship standard and associated EPA.
Year 3/4: Completion of Level 3 Land Based Service Engineer Technician apprenticeship standard and associated EPA.
When you are not in College completing your formal qualifications above, you will be based in Erith full time learning from our experienced engineers and consolidating your skills ready to be signed off as a fully qualified power engineer at the end of Year 4.

**Please note that you must hold a Level 1 equivalent or GCSE Grade 2/Grade E or above in English and Mathematics in order to be considered for this apprenticeship.**
If you are successful in obtaining this role, in order to complete the L3 qualification you will have to complete L2 Functional Skills in English and Mathematics. If you can provide evidence of GCSE Mathematics and English qualifications at Grade C/Grade 4 or above you will be exempt from needing to complete these qualifications. If you do need to complete them, our external provider will work with you in order to achieve this.
This role will be a September 2021 start.
